Tasweld's History
Started as a partnership in 1982 Tasweld Engineering began in rented premises in Laurel Street, Toowoomba.
Tasweld began as a special welding service concentrating on welded repairs in difficult materials (the name 'Tasweld' stands for Technical And Special WELDing).
It was very soon apparent that facilities were required for machining the various jobs after welding, and so a lathe and small milling machine were installed. Since that time, the machine shop has been constantly expanded and up-dated, until now over 75% of our business is derived from machining.
Tasweld moved to a larger rented shed in Water Street in 1985 and then to purpose built premises at its present location at 2 Orford Court, Toowoomba in August 1990.
